Our Foster Care Story

Among the many things that the month May is known for is something very special, very personal to me. May is National Foster Care Month.

My wife and I were foster parents for over 12 years. To this day, it’s some of the best memories of our married life. And yes, in those years, we also had a lot of stress, ups, downs, wins, and losses. But such is the life of a foster parent. You just need to know that going in.

In this video, which I produced with my wife, we share our foster care story and our advice to anyone thinking about being a foster parent. Our prayer is that you’re encouraged to try it or at least find out more.

If there’s only one thing you take from our story, remember this: foster parenting is about giving your all for a child who may have nothing left.

I really hope you consider being a foster parent. If you can’t, at least consider supporting other foster parents or an agency near you.

If you have any questions about foster care, let’s connect and chat more.

Thanks for watching.
