Since I get asked a lot about my setup, I thought I'd share all the pieces and parts. You can substitute almost anything I have with something else that fits your style and budget too. Also, a lot of the links will be affiliate links.
Cameras and Lenses
I have a Canon M6 Mark II mounted on a SmallRig desk mount clamped to my desk. Since my desk is an electric standing desk, this keeps the camera at the same height regardless of whether I'm sitting or standing.
I'm using a Sigma 16mm lens with the camera. This lens is made especially for the Canon M series which means it fits directly onto the camera without an adapter.
Since my camera has "clean HDMI out" (watch this video to learn more), I connect it to my computer with a Elgato Cam Link 4k capture card. The capture card allows me use it like a webcam, to record and/or live stream.
I also plug a dummy battery into my camera which gives it power all the time. Never have to worry about the battery dying in the middle of a video or live stream (been there, done that!).
Audio
My mic is a Shure MV7+. It's a really great sounding mic that's has both USB and XLR connections. Currently, I'm using the USB cable to plug directly into the computer.
One thing I really like about the mic, is the free software you can use to dial-in the settings that are saved to the mic!
The mic sits on an Elgato low-profile boom arm which allows me to keep it out of the shot, at least somewhat.
I also have a Rode VideoMic GO II mic plugged directly into my camera. It's on a simple boom arm. It let's me have a different look - no mic in the shot - with a good sound too.
Lights
I have a Godox ES45 Light mounted to my desk, for the same reason I have my camera mounted. It never has to be adjusted to where I am at the desk.
Even thought the Godox light is an LED panel light which has buiIt-in diffusion, put an Ambitful softbox on which makes the light a tad softer and less bright too.
The light comes with a detachable remote that I keep on my desk. You can change the lights brightness and color with the remote.
Monitor
I have a 27" Dell 4k monitor. I can move the monitor up-and-down, even tilt it sideways if I wanted to. It comes with a simple, yet sturdy stand the monitor sits on.
Computer and Hard Drives
Currently I'm using a Mac Mini M4. I got the base model since I keep all my media on external drives.
Beside the computer, I use a CalDigit Hub which gives me more ports and lets me connect more things to the desk.
Speaking of drives, I have two LaCie external hard-drives - a 4TB and a 2TB - that I keep all my media on. I also have two Samsung SSD drives - a 2TB and a 1TB - that I edit on. I do this since SSD drives are a lot faster.
All my drives are backed-up every night to the cloud using BackBlaze. You should watch this video and see how BackBlaze saved me when one of my drives failed.
Keyboard and Mouse
I use the Logitech MX Keys Mini bluetooth keyboard. Its made for the Mac and can be used while charging it via the USB cable.
My mouse is the Logitech MX Master 3S. It has a cool look and sits up higher than say the Apple magic mouse. Feels better on my hand.
I have a small Elgato Stream Deck which has a lot of shortcuts for apps I use a lot. It also integrates with Ecamm live too.
Other Accessories
I splurged a little on the speakers because I wanted really good sound. These are the Kanto YU2 speakers. They come in lots of colors too.
I have a small LED Desk light from Honeywell. It has different temperatures and brightness levels too.
I picked up a leather desk pad from YSAGi. It looks nice on top down shots plus helps to protect my custom-made wooden desk top.
My iPhone sits on a special mag safe phone stand from Moment.
I try and stay hydrated throughout the day with my 20oz Yeti Rambler. I got the red one cause it looks cool.
I also keep a paper journal so I can jot down ideas or just scribble. I use one from Paperage.
And lastly, pens! I got tired of losing pens, so I bought a 5lb box of pens. Seriously.
