Here is a list of different accessories I have for my audio gear.
Zoom H4N Digital Recorder. This is such a great digital recorder.
You can connect different types of mics or use the two mics on top of the recorder.
It has lots of recording options and records to an SD card. It runs off batteries and can tend to go thru them fairly quickly too.
There are times you may need to use more than one mic. That’s why I got the Comica XLR Audio Mixer.
Compact and has ports for XLR and regular plug-in mics. Even has a switch for phantom power.
And you can mount it on top or underneath your camera too.
Boom pole. Nothing fancy. Just a simple boom pole that’s very affordable. I do recommend getting a sandbag just to make sure it doesn’t fall over.
If you have your mic on a boom arm, I recommend picking up a shock mount. It helps balance the mic and suspends it which prevents it from picking up other sounds.
Bose headphones. Really nice sound, covers my ears, and they are wireless! Does come with a cord you can plug in if you need to but note that it’s a really, really short cord!
Mpow wireless earbuds. For some reason, my ears are too small for the iPhone earbuds. Found these and they stay in my ears, probably because they wrap around my ears. I use mostly for music and phone calls with the built-in mic.
